US Adult Soccer Association
March 13, 2020

Dear USASA Members and Players,

With the proliferation of COVID-19, USASA is hereby initiating an immediate suspension of all soccer activities until March 31 when we'll reassess the situation. This includes all regional cup games, all affiliated league and tournament play and team practices, and in-person gatherings and/or administrative meetings.

USASA is committed to the health and well-being of its players, coaches, staff, and families. We'll continue to actively monitor the situation and, as always, we encourage players and families to practice repeated and proper CDC hygiene procedures on and off the field.

Nikolaus Kramer

If you've been with the United League for more than a few years, you would have known Nick.  He served this league for many years, in many positions, always stepping up when we needed him.  He served the league as Games Commissioner, Registrar, Publicity Director, Referee Assignor, and Grievance Chairman.  He served on numerous Anniversary Committees, the Bylaws Committee, and as Team Delegate.  Serious illness forced him to step away, but I could always count on him calling me at the start of the season for a schedule.

He was one of the last of this league's second generation, who picked up the torch from the founders, and whose efforts made it one of the largest and most successful amateur leagues in the country.  Nick also served as a Director at the Bavarian Club in the 80's, during the time they had several great amateur cup runs.  To know him was to like him, and I'm happy to have had that opportunity for over 30 years.

His family will receive relatives and friends from 9 to 9:30 am Saturday, September 7, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 611 Knowles Ave, Southampton, PA., where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 am. Interment will be at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery in Langhorne.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Abington Jefferson Hospice, 225 Newtown Rd, Warminster, PA 18974.

Coats for Chester

SOUTHEASTERN PENNSYLVANIA SOCCER HALL OF FAME

ONE WEEK LEFT IN OUR COAT DRIVE

The Southeastern Pennsylvania Soccer Hall of Fame is winding up the ninth year of our "Coats for Chester" coat drive for needy families in Chester, PA, home of the Philadelphia Union soccer club, and North Philadelphia. There is only one week left in the drive, so please help us reach our goal of collecting and distributing 2.500 coats. Its very easy to do. Just check your closet for unworn or unwanted coats. Drop them off at one of the locations below by the end of November, and we will do the rest.

Lastly, please help spread the word to family and friends, so that our coat drive will be a success and make life a little bit better for some families in Chester and Philly.

Thanks for your help.
